Not only that, during chewing, the smell of food goes through the mouthpiece to the olfactory receptor cells. From this we get the smell of food. 

The true taste of food is found in the combination of the activity of testbud and olfactory cells. Therefore, if for some reason the sense of smell disappears, the taste of food may also disappear.

As a result, the olfactory receptor neurons in the nasal cavity are damaged, and our sense of smell is damaged.

There are a number of reasons why people may lose their sense of taste and smell, but during this epidemic of corona virus, if someone suddenly loses their sense of taste and smell, whether they have other symptoms or not, they have to consider themselves as potentially infected corona. 

If possible, RT-PCR test should be done. You must quarantine yourself. If other symptoms of the disease appear or the condition worsens, the necessary treatment should be taken at the hospital.
