Huawei Brings a New Computer Structure Model 2019 | Best Computers for Students & Architects

Huawei, the world’s leading information technology services company, has officially launched Ascend 1 and AI computing framework MindSpore, its most powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) processor. Senior officials of the company, including Huawei’s rotating chairman Eric Zhu, attended the event held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Ascend A da Vinci is an AI processor built on the system architecture and despite outstanding performance, the maximum power consumption level of the Ascend 910 is 310 watts, which is much lower than previously planned power consumption levels (350 watts).

Huawei earlier launched this new open-source AI computing framework, MindSpor, in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, South China. MindSpore is an AI computing infrastructure that supports the development of AI applications in all situations, including all devices, Edges and cloud environments. Also, MindSpore’s code is 20 percent less than the amount of original code in a typical neural network for Natural Language Processing (NLP) in the leading framework in the market. As a result, it increases the efficiency of developers by 50 percent. The Ascend 910 processor is used in the AI model training field.

As a test of this, when a training session was organized on Friday, it was found that the combination of Ascend 910 and MindSpore systems with AI model training was twice the speed of TensorFlow. In this regard, Huawei’s rotating chairman Eric Zhu said that Ascend 910 performed better than we expected. Undoubtedly, it has more computing power than any other AI processor in the world. The AI computing infrastructure is crucial in ensuring AI application development is easier, wider and privacy protection. In 2018, Huawei announced targets for the development of the AI framework. The goals were simple development, efficiency and ability to adapt to any situation.

MindSpor, Huawei’s significant accomplishment in meeting these goals. Since privacy protection is more important than ever, a secure and comprehensive AI management requires all kinds of support. Huawei defines AI as one of the technologies of the century, similar to twentieth-century railroads and electricity and 21st century cars, computers and the Internet. According to Zhu, AI is still in the early stages of development and in order to become truly common technology, the gaps in AI technology need to be eliminated. Huawei’s AI strategy is designed to eliminate these gaps and spread the world’s new technology faster.
